Now Six Officers Shot in Philadelphia, Active Shooter.

    Update:

PHILADELPHIA — Six police officers were shot in a confrontation with at least one gunman Wednesday afternoon in the Tioga section of North Philadelphia.
Police Commissioner Richard Ross said two officers remain trapped inside the house in the 3700 block of North 15th Street where the shootout first erupted at 4:30 p.m. local time.
A suspect inside the house was livestreaming on Facebook, police said, as officers worked into the evening, trying to get the gunman to surrender.
At 7:06 p.m., a police department spokesman posted on Twitter: “Officers are attempting to communicate with the shooter; imploring him to surrender and avoid further injuries.”
The White House and Gov. Tom Wolf were briefed on the unfolding situation.

Narcotics officers were attempting to serve an arrest warrant at the house when shots were fired. Two Narcotics Strike Force bicycle officers were pinned down on the second floor with three other people who were handcuffed, police said. They did not say they were hurt, but they were at risk of getting shot because the suspect on the first floor was firing into the ceiling.
Initially, police said there was one shooter inside a house on the block still firing shots shortly before 5 p.m. Later, police said they believed there were two shooters inside. It was unclear later if that remained their understanding of the situation.

I've been watching the TV coverage. With all the cops, media, spectators standing around at the scene, can you imagine the death toll and chaos if the bad guys had the foresight and resources to park a car bomb, perhaps across the street and behind the line of cops...?

The media already saying that the .gov should *keep these weapons out of the hands of the people* and in the same article stating that we have to *keep them out of the hands of criminals*... so much failure in that logic. They will use every mid to high profile shooting to make an offensive because they know they have the weak republicans on the rope on the gun control issue.

Dems are wasting no time in taking advantage of this situation.

Someone, anyone, please explain how 'Universal Background Checks' would have prevented this shooting. Or any of the recent shootings.

Just name ONE shooting that would have been prevented by Universal Background Checks.

I’m going to try to not be callus. This isn’t a national news story, and here is why:
Police get into gun fights with criminal drug dealers from time to time, it’s literally both of their jobs. Now that’s not to say I don’t mourn the fact that it happened and good men were injured, but if every police shootout in the country received the same attention that would take up the nightly news every night. What we are seeing is the leftist media who hates the police now using this shooting as another pawn to push their anti gun agenda.

Fellas stay safe out there. The crazy SOBs seem to be multiplying faster than their attrition rate.
