    hello;

    a local gun store keeps insisting the Louisiana legislature passed red flag laws during the last session.

    are they correct? thanks for any input.

    The people at that particular local shop are idiots. Louisiana killed the bill in May I believe. So, no red flag laws whatsoever exist in the state. For now...

    The La version of the Red Flag law was soundly defeated by the diligent work of La. Shooting Assoc, Firearm Professionals of La. & NO Defense League. We had over 70 members at the committee meeting where it died. It lost by only one vote. There was one more Republican member present. Without the help of these dedicated individuals and with the help of the NRA & Rep. Blake Miguez. We wii see these type of bills again & they will make it through if we give up.
    We have to work with our elected state, local and national representatives to make sure these bills are defeated. Either join the fight or give up and die. The choice is yours. It will take all of us to get through this. If your content with sitting on the side line, then go ahead an turn in your guns because they will take them.

    Bryan's summary is exactly correct. I was present for both days of hearings, and the message from pro-gunners was impressive to say the least.

    Of course, if the Democrats ever get a majority, red flag laws will sail through like **** through a goose.

    I’m not big on drumming gun dealers out of business, but a good public shaming should be in order. If this is the kind of disinformation said about current events so easily figured out, what kind on dribble is said about less publicly available information.

    Stop worrying about the local gun store and start shaming the pantywaisted corporate sellouts that will sell our rights down the river to keep a bunch of scared high school kids and suburban moms happy.
