    I have read references to collet style crimping dies, but I don't really understand how they work or when they would be used. I would appreciate any enlightment you folks could provide. Thanks in advance.

    Lee makes them as do perhaps others. In the Lee dies they have four segments that surround the case mouth and are then squeezed into the case mouth sides by the die body to crimp the bullet into the case. It can improve neck tension particularly if you are having problems with bullet setback.
