The wife took the kiddos to thw in-laws today so I had a free day. I always wondered how the AR would look with wood. I think I like it. I made the pistol grip to fit my hand like a glove. I tossed the wood on the front just for sng.

Looks good. Let us know how it feels to shoots. Did you do that so it can't be called a Black Rifle anymore?

Thanks. I might bring it to the range Friday just to see how it feels. I was measuring today to see how much clearance to do the entire hand guard or just a faux cover over the existing hand guard.

I decided to go all out with the handgaurd cover. Still staring at it to see what else I can do to it. Kinda looks like a thompson .45 forgrip. 20191018_183814.jpg

Nice Work---that could probably help you drum up few jobs if you wanted them---
    Thanks i appreciate that.
I honestly wouldnt think that there would be much of a market for wood furniture. But I do have templates of someone would want me to make some for them.

id be interested in a set.
I'm going to bring it to sherburne today to see. How it feels shooting. If everything feels good I might make some more and let you know. I would need to know what style grip you want and what size rail you have.
