For anyone looking for a cheaper option, my TX22 has been great. I shoot the cheap bulk box of federal 38 and it just eats it up. It's good to hear good feedback on the 44 though.

I handled a few of these at the show yesterday. Interesting feel, as light as it is the balance was good. Exterior build quality was high, as usual for glock. Not sure how I feel about the approx 400 price tag. And the 10rd mag. I am sure it is better made and designed than the Taurus tx22. I like the feel of the Taurus but buying one new would go against all of my principles.

If you get past those principles, you won't be disappointed. The TX kinda feels like home as it runs like much larger 9s. The only problem with it as a trainer, is that it has a lighter trigger with a better reset than my carry guns, which are all stock in the 4 1/2 to 5 lb. range.
