Well...yeah. If he doesn't feel comfortable selling an item to you, or anyone else, he won't be forced to. If he doesn't want to spend his time going to the post office, so be it. If he'd rather sell it to the first person who could meet him with money instead of waiting for someone to drive to him, that's his choice. He's the seller so it's his terms.

But I'm curious as to what 308 upper you were trying to buy. There's only one 308 upper I remember seeing on this board recently and I'd be willing to bet, if that's the one you're referring to, you did not make an offer 3 days before anyone else.

Perhaps you should stick to buying from your connections or who you've bought from before. You've got 41 posts on this board, 5 of those in this thread. You are starting to become a contributor to this thread but you are still a new user. And so far, I'd be willing to bet most people associate your name with complaining how people on this board don't treat a new user as if they've been contributing for years. I'm fairly certain you're not convincing people to do business with you. You're coming across as someone who would be a pain to deal with if the seller doesn't meet your demands.

Nobody is forcing you to buy from strangers just like nobody will force strangers to sell to you. If you're worried about getting shot, meet the seller in the parking lot at a police station. If you're worried about breaking down, how do you go to work or the grocery store? After all, you'd be taking a chance on breaking down.

I have mailed things and in that transaction that was my way of doing ot tgey beyer and i were both happy.
I have bought things and same thing shipped both happy.
I have met with buyer's at,agreed location an gotten agreed price. Both happy.
I have met with sellers same deal at a,location we both were happy with. Paid agreed cost.
If one of us would have met and said they no longer wanted to follow through for what ever reasons, that is the buyers and sellers business.
Up unlill the actual exchange takes place and it is a done deal.
For any reason.
If you think someone us a nutcase would you still hand off a gun just becuse he or she is waving a buck?

I can prove who I am and what I'm about in one phone call.I have
never had any other problems reguarding this issue on any other forum
in the usa.That is why I brought it up.I wanted to find out why peeps
over that way in La are whiney girls and wont do biz with anyone but
a cajun lol..

If I treated people and any biz treated people as you do about shipping

Are you asking if I've ever heard of the concept of industries that are global or are you asking if I've ever heard of a company named Global Industries? Proper names should be capitalized. Punctuation is important as putting them in or leaving them out can change the entire meaning of a sentence. Here's an example. "Go over there and help your friend, Jack, off the horse." Without the commas, that sentence means something completely different.

People have that policy because they don't want to be a broke d**k worthless no money making man. It's not that some people don't ship. It's that you don't meet the criteria so they don't ship to you.

You never answered what 308 upper you were talking about. Was it the one that was marked sold at about the same time you started this thread?

Perhaps you can explain something. When you registered on here, you used an IP address that pings to Kansas City, Missouri. Every other post on here is from various IP addresses that ping to Houston, Texas. Yet you list your location as Iowa, Louisiana. I'm sure there may be a valid reason for the disparity but I can't think of one at this time. Could you help us out here?

Yes, that was SlowHand. Whoever refused to ship anything to him was right to do so and lucky. This is the same member we caught knowingly selling counterfeit magpul items on the forum some years back. He is dishonest, mentally unstable and I doubt he can even legally own firearms.

His profile and the way he worded his PM had me on edge and I was thinking it was a spammer and had other offers from trusted members here. Currently the earsplittinloudinboomer upper is with Perez... Hope he wears double earpro and clears the shooting bench as it will blow everything off of it!

But I was guessing it was your upper he was looking at. That's why I was trying to get him to tell me which one it was. He said he made an offer "3 days before anyone else." I made an offer 6 hours after the ad was posted. And he started this thread at about the same time you upper ad was marked as sold.

Well, since the guy rode off into the sunset a couple years ago or better there was really no point in reporting it. I waited for replies or to see any signs of life, sent him a letter, and after maybe 3-4 weeks of no activity I PM’d a couple of members on his friend list, one did reply and said something about him probably being in jail or something if he had disappeared... so I called it a day.

EDIT: Looked back at my feedback left for others and found it.

nola_ is the screen name. The deal was in December 2014
