    Technically the term banana clip belongs to the AK family...but at least they went with yellow.

    Kiwi clips are where it’s at anyway..

    I suggest that the moniker “banana” preceded the AK.

    When the 30-round magazine for the M1 carbine became available people started calling it a “banana clip.” (In spite of the fact that it’s a magazine, not a clip.)

    Before there was an AK there was an M1 carbine.
