2 lightly used factory FNX 45 magazines. $50 for both. Lafayette area. Text 337-three four nine- 8465. Possible trade for 9mm ammo, SIG p320 compact mags, or something else that peeks my interest

Are these originally FNP or FNX mags?

I do not think the FNP will work in the FNX as they are different sizes from everything I have read. I pulled the following quoted from the FN Forums, please forgive. I am asking b/c I am interested in these if they are FNX mags.

I called FN and the lady said they take different mags. I didn't really press her as to interchangeability, my guess is she doesn't know. I would really like to know the answer to this question.

She is correct, they are different mags. The X mag is 13thous" longer front to back, shaped differently at the front top, different follower/spring/catch plate. X mag has 12 witness holes 4-15/ P mag has three 5/10/15.
The P mag fits loosly in the X frame and does lock up. The X mag fits tightly in the P frame, will lock up, but I had to tug it to get it out. The X frame is slightly larger front to back to accomodate the new mag. Will they fire ok this way, can't say! I'm not going to try!
