I have a fairly old (15 years maybe?) RWS Diana model 36 air rifle and maybe it’s me but it isn’t that accurate. I am looking to upgrade and a search showed Mac1 as a guy that rebuilds or upgrades air rifles. He sells tuned Benjamins. (Marauder and Maximus) Any experience and advice here?
I use it for sparrows on the Martin houses.
    Thanks!

My experience only. Spring piston guns do not perform their best is not held properly. Are you using an "artillery hold". This meaning letting the gun free recoil. The more firmly you hold the rifle, the worse it will shoot. Pellet choice is paramount also. Cheap Wal-Mart pellets aren't very good. I'd suggest staying away from lighter pellets. High velocity is not always your friend with airguns. I've taken pigeons at 75 yards with 850 fps pellets. JSB pellets have been very good for me. Pyramid Air can probably rebuild your rifle. They did a fine job with my FWB124. Are you using optics and if so, is your scope airgun rated?

All of my comments are in regards to spring piston rifles.

Scope is an air rifle scope. I did start using a loose hold last year. I haven’t checked accuracy since then so I will do that and see if any better. I have tried a few pellets. I’ll get some JSB and see.
After a quick research PCP air rifles sound a lot better...and cost more with more potential thinks to go wrong with them.
