Every so often I will pull up at a garage sale and I will look for things like S&W period specific screwdrivers and such. Been doing it for years.
Probably back in the '80's I picked up on a Dan Wesson barrel wrench in 44Magnum, with the caps. Still have it.
Seems that the only ones available today on fleabay are listing for $125.
    Who'd a thunk it?.

I think I have that same screwdriver, if it's a black blade with a silver (aluminum?) handle about 4 inches long. I "thought" it came with a
Colt 1911 in the 70's but I also had a S&W Model 19 at the same time. Both the pistols are gone but still have the screwdriver.

For other weapons, I have various M14/M1A/M1 Garand gages and tools: M14 Flash Suppressor Alignment tool, M14/M1 Garand Bolt Disassembly tool, M14 Cleaning Kit/disassembly wrench, M1 Garand tool/chamber brush, various go/no-go gages, and a muzzle wear gage. The newest of these are around 50 years old.

I recently saw on another forum that one of my gages was valued at $600 because it could be used without taking the rifle apart first.

I've forgotten all of the Smith & Wesson screwdriver variations ... but some of the rare ones can fetch upwards of $500 in decent condition.

I have a little brass Winchester tool that was used for examining the bore of an 1894. I paid about $200 for that little hunk of wood, brass and glass.

You have me thinking now. I assumed it was A tool that came with my model 19. But it may have come with my Colt.
When i was 15 dad with my money bought me a,Ruger MK1. Then at 16 the S&W 19 in 6 inch barrel. Then at 17 Colt series 70 1911 ACE.
It has been a long time since then.
Both have target sights tge Smith's trigger is great and has adjustable sights. And the Colt has the Old Bomar type that came on Gold Cup guns with the flat top slide.
So it could gave comecwith either gun.
I also have some USGI tools and Garand tool made by a,CMP board member
