Decided I wanted some surf and turf tonight. Wanted an easy meal, had some A5 Wagyu in my freezer, so I let a 22oz steak thaw the other day planning to cook it for valentines day, but work and hectic schedule didn't allow for that.

There's a local togo place that has gourmet food togo only, and he had crab cakes on the menu, so I grabbed that on the way home from kids b-day parties etc.

So came home, heated my skillet:

Seared it for a ~1 min on each side:

Drained off the majority of the fat from the steak and cooked some veggies:

Still pink, like I like it:

    gorgeous marbling.

Crab cakes from my local togo joint (comes with 2 about the size of my fist):

Needed something to wash it down with.

Great meal, I'm stuffed, ate the whole steak to myself, my wife had a crab cake with veggies (She's pregnant and can only eat meat if it's well done).
