Don't know if im posting this in the right place but my home was robbed. They used my tools to break into my gunsafe. They got a 12 ga savage- 20ga browning- 12ga lc smith double barrel- 410ga single barrel- 16ga Remington model 11- Winchester 12ga o/u-and an old german manlieker. House is near Roseland la. I realize that im probably not going to get these family heirlooms back but im just trying anything I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well,That sucks,Perhaps a mod can move your post where it gets more attention or start a new thread for you,Pictures and serial numbers would help you.....

However,You should hit the local pawn shops with a police report yourself....

You could post the serial numbers in a separate post, and visit and leave a list with all the pawn shops between BR and Bogalusa and from Pontchatoula to McComb. Have the LEOs enter them in the stolen gun database. If you don't have the serial numbers, you may be SOL.

Edit - I type slower than Gator, but we had the same advice.

I would suggest that reviving a vaguely related thread that hasn't been active in almost a year may not be the best place to post it. I moved your post to its own thread so more people would see it.

Damn man, sorry to hear that. Just for curiosity sake, what kind of gunsafe did you have and do you have any idea how they got into it?

I do a *lot* in the vintage gun world. If you'd like, PM me the make, model and serial numbers of your guns and I'll keep my eyes open.

And if you're not comfortable with that, that's fine too. Either way, good luck finding them.
