your thoughts on a Taurus judge for .45lc only.

ive been looking for a revolver in .45lc. mostly for target and deer hunting.
the 5" and 6" judges are very prevalent.

what are your guys thoughts on the judge for .45lc?

    any issues with 25-30yd accuracy?
    reliability?
    ergonomics, and recoil?

ill be handloading, and casting for the gun if that is a factor.

I just feel you'd be better served by a Ruger Blackhawk or similar... no need for that massive long cylinder if you are only shooting 45 colt. This is purely anecdotal as I've never shot a Judge

Rock out with your Glock out.

Are you planning on actually hunting deer with the pistol?

Setting in a stand right now with a Judge

It's only here with me for up close work like a Boar trying to get in here and eat me!

Voting is the responsibility of a citizen, even if voting may not necessarily be obligatory. To not vote seems to me to be an abrogation of one's responsibility as a citizen, regardless of one's politics.

I have some 410 buckshot, & 45 colt ammo if you want it

I love my Judge, I mostly shoot .410 at snakes. Like said above, if you are only going to shoot 45LC, there are better options.

For best results while keeping with a DA gun. I’d go with a s&w 25 or a Ruger Redhawk in .45 colt.

The Judge and similar clones such as the S&W Governor may shoot .410 and .45 LC, but do both terribly. If you are only looking to shoot .45 LC, then look elsewhere.

The judge may be a nice dual purpose pistol but if I was interested purely in the .45LC round Iíd definitely go with another choice. I like Ruger six shooters period. But I handled and shot a Uberti in 45LC once and still want one. I believe they retail for significantly less than the Ruger single six and Red/Black Hawk pistols.

I think itís called a Cattleman. Itís actually a redone Colt single action army. Real sweet pistol. Said he paid a little over 400 new.
