Yesterday afternoon I pulled the cheapo kettle grill out to do some BBQ chicken. I love using lump charcoal but there's something about charcoal briquets that produces an amazing smell, especially when grilling chicken. So I loaded the chimney starter and got the charcoal going then dumped them into the grill and added the grate and some chicken thighs and legs. Man, that smell is something! After flipping a couple of times I added some thin rope sausage and Jalapeno and pepperjack stuffed boudin. That boudin is great as a meal in itself.
After a while and saucing the chicken it was done.

It was tricky barbecuing with the wind the way it was blowing yesterday but it was a success in the end. Hard to beat a slow barbecue meal and enjoying a few cold beer while doing it.
