I'm a big fan of finding items that are a good value. Things don't necessarily have to be expensive to be good value. Quality levels should meet the intended use. If you're only going to hit a nail twice in a year, a Harbor Freight hammer might do the trick, but if you are a carpenter you probably have a better hammer. I've personally found Wera tools to be good value for every day use and more specialized tasks, but I'm in need of some good sets to replace older worn tools that I have.

What is your favorite brand of hand tools?

Also a fan of Knipex pliers.

Recently I just opened my restaurant. I did most of the wood work, from all the tables, to the bar, to all the cabinets. That being said, I almost used Dewalt exclusively. But I think Milwaukee may be a little better!

I recently broke some Dewalt drills bits that are partially my fault, but the way they broke was upsetting. Not enough for me to ditch my Dewalt tools, but the Milwaukee bits I have are nice. The bits I use for a good fit are my Wiha set.

    Kennah!
    Starrett are also excellent.

As for drill bits, I always use USA made bits.
Cost lots more but in my experience they last way longer.

Harbor freight is mostly a get by kinda tool store. Most hand tools that homedepot sells will last longer than the average homeowner will need them.

Personally I use eastwing hammers, craftsman ratchets and sockets. Klein dikes and side cutters.

I use a lot of craftsman and Stanley. Stanley has lifetime warranty and stands by it. Milwaukee and snap on are great too

Home Depot and Lowe's both have some tools that last no longer than what you get from Harbor Freight. It's all about what your intended use for the tool is. A lot of people break tools by misusing them.
