What mod do you shoot and can you use red dots on unlimited?

For unlimited division, I run a Gen 3 G34. This gun was originally set up to run major power factor for Open Division in USPSA
    Mods are as followed.
    Aftermarket Barrel (KKM - Threaded)
    Carver Custom 4-port comp
Carver Captured guide rod with 12 or 13lb wolf spring.
Carver Customs Milled factory Glock slide for a Vortex Venom 3moa red dot.
    Apex Failure Resistant Extractor
    Zev adjustable ultimate trigger kit
    SJC aluminum big mag well.
    SJC mag release
    SJC slide racker
    I think that everything.

I'll try to remember to post a pic of my unlimited gun soon.

Yes, If you have a red dot mounted to your glock, this will put you in unlimited division.

Mods that will bump you to Unlimited division for the GSSF matches (indoor or outdoor)
    Red Dot sights
    Aftermarket barrels
    Aftermarket frames
    Compensator
    Frame weights
weighted mag wells (Steel or Brass)

Check out 40.30 and 40.40 of the GSSF Rule Book for more of what is allowed and not allowed.

Damn Bryan, that’s some list. Just ordered my G34 G5 today should have by the time BD has their June match. I’m gonna stay at production until I get a bit of practice under my belt. I’m considering getting the aVenom for my 19 an$ shoot it in the Carry Optics Div at th3 June UDPSA in Gonzales for fun. I talked a good bit to a fella named Skip and he gave me a lot of good info. My main focus rt now though is production with my new 34 while I get used to competing.

    Good Deal.
Skip is a good guy with lots info to share.
Just remember if you do go to Production Division for USPSA you will be limited to 10 rds in each mag and will have to change mags a lot more often. Pretty much every time you move to the next array of targets.
for additional info check out Appendix D4 Production Division of the USPSA rule book.

If you go carry Optics, you can load your mags to full capacity, thus less mag changes.

I would start shooting limited instead of production. More ammo in the mags = less mag changes = less things to worry about. I would worry about targets, movement, and actual shooting. Trying to plan out arrays and mag changes with 10 rounds just adds one more thing to have to deal with. My advice is to take it slow and try not to get DQed.
