    It's one of those gloomy Sunday mornings in southeast Louisiana and a perfect one for some homemade beignets.

    My old T-Fal electric fryer crapped out on me so I had to use a fryer over the gas grill burner.

    Again, nicely done.

    In my family I’m the only one who does not put powdered sugar on my beignets.
    Just always liked them plain.
