My wife and I were able to get down to Grand Isle on Thursday night and were joined by my oldest son on Friday. Him and I have always hunted and fished together but it’s been less the last few years because of his work so anytime we can hang out and fish is always a blessing.
My wife and I fished Friday morning and only caught 3 reds and 1 keeper trout. I released the red that I’m holding as it was just a little too big for my liking. My son and I went Saturday morning and only put 1 nice red in the boat. The weather was great and the tide was rising so we did have some current by mid morning but truth be told the fishing was slow. That’s how it is sometimes, but hey any day fishing is a good day. Hope everyone is doing well.

After fishing in it for better than a year I wish it was 2 feet longer but over all I’m plenty happy. The battery will run for 6 hours easy which for me is a major plus. Since you don’t have to paddle you can fish more plus not be so burnt out at the end of the day.

Looked to me like that 2 feet would be more of a disadvantage than the little space it would provide. Bet you could rig some flexible solar panels somewhere that might help out a little too. Cool little boat.

Now that is definitely something to think about. Solar charging as I fish. Love the idea. Any ideas on cost for that?

    LOVE IT!
Above all else, I'm a fisherman and a tackle crafter.
2 Reds and a Speck make a nice dinner!
It’s been way too long since I’ve chased some redfish. Our camp was really messed up in Grand Isle so we have been spending our spare time trying to get it back in shape plus my bees have been keeping me busy.

Thanks for the kind words. If you ever want to wonder down the path of beekeeping send me a pm and I’ll see what I got hanging around the shop to get you going.

Lots of snapping turtles, catfish, and tiny bass are all I can reel in when fishing.
The only thing that I'm actually good at catching with a fishing pole are minnows and unlucky bystanders.:twitch:
