Hey there guys, been a long time since I've posted.
Let me start by saying that i did not know where to post this so by default posted here. Recently had a run in with an old friend and he reminded me about the days we'd buy guns online and save cash. Problem is I called the same FFL's I used to use and they have gone from once $15 to $20 fees to $50 to even a $60 fee. I don't know about you guys but I understand that the dealer may be upset because he lost an over priced sale to an online retailer, but this is becoming robbery! I recently got diagnosed with cancer and can't work for a while so my free time that used to be spent working and such is now spent shopping online for guns. So what im getting at is, is that the standard now days for FFL fees? I live in Prairieville and don't mind driving a little to save a few bucks but if this is how it is now then sounds like gun stores have finally cracked the code. Thanks guys and I look forward to hearing back.

Not sure about other areas of the state, but I use two FFLs in my area. One charges me $15, the other charges $20.

    1. It is not robbery unless you are forced to complete the transaction against your will.
    2. Lots of places in the greater BR area have lower FFL fees. Only price I know of the top of my head is Bayougunslingers which is $20 for first item, $10 each additional.

Understood, I guess its just the places I called that I used to use about 10 years ago. True it is not robbery, just not worth it. I will have to make some more calls around town. Not going to dog the guys I used to use but they must not want to handle the transactions anymore so they raised the prices. I remember there were quite a few guys on here that ran FFL out of their residence or shop and would work with Bayou Shooter members. Thanks guys.

Try FRC, Bayou Gun Slingers, Cajun Ammo, or maybe even Jim's firearms. Surely one of them has a good FFL fee.
