Representative Chuck Owen is a patriot. Gave one of the strongest gestures of support to HB334 I've ever seen.

HB334 passes the house and moves to the Senate.

How far have bills like these gotten in the past? Is this fairly standard, to get thru the committees, only to see them die on the floor?

I think these have passed the house are are now being passed in the senate. If they make it through JBE can still vetoe them. Not sure if he would or not.

Great news - a big thank you to those who made the trip to speak in favor of the bills, today.

The pro-gun organizations that were represented there all did a fantastic job. Polite, professional, and as always we outnumbered the Bloomberg-funded anti's.

The lawyer that spoke out against HB334 was the embodiment of bad lawyering. His arguments were so ridiculous that I actually heard some chuckling in the room as he spoke.

It looks like 334 got a last minute amendment to it. You will still need the permission of the person in charge of the place of worship to carry concealed there.

All passed, albeit with some modifications, and await the governor's signature.
