The York County Sheriff’s Office (PA) recently decided to switch from their issued .40 caliber pistols to the 9x19mm caliber. As part of their selection process, the Walther PPQ M2 9mm 4” pistol was chosen as one of the issued pistols for the agency.
Sheriff Richard P. Keuerleber cited the superior ergonomics of the pistol as one of the main reasons the agency decided to select the pistol. “Combining the outstanding handling capabilities, along with the smooth trigger pull of the Walther PPQ, simplified the selection process,” stated Sheriff Keuerleber.
In addition to the purchase, a Walther Armorers Program was conducted, ensuring that the agency was fully qualified to inspect the Walther PPQ M2 pistols.
