    Rock Island makes a double stack 9mm in a 2011 type platform. It doesn’t have a plastic grip & is not removable. It might be worth taking a look at.

    I'm going to throw you a curve ball! How about a Kel Tec PMR30? Its small lightweight 22 mag that holds 30 rounds in the handle. I've a Glock 22, Springfield XDS in 45, Springfield 911 in 9mm, several revolvers, and the one I almost always strap on is my PMR. Great for snakes out in the woods, (I have lots of moccasins) and what ever else you might run into. Just a thought for you.

    I would pass on any caliber less than a .38 Revolver or 9mm Pistol with quality JHP ammunition as a carry firearm.
