Forgot to confirm that yes, linear comps and blast cans definitely make it better for those standing anywhere near you when you’re shooting.
I’m not sure what others think but I can’t quite get behind anything aluminum for a muzzle device. I’d go with all steel. The first one I ever used was the flaming pig. It made a lot of difference on a 7.5 inch pistol in 5.56. I swear without the right hearing protection that thing would make your ears bleed. If you wanna try one without spending a bunch of money try these guys:

They’ve got a few linear comps and blast cans at decent prices.

This one cost me less than $20, plain old blue steel but does the job.

Jesus Christmas! How much crap do I need to keep buying for these damn rifles?

    :mamoru:

When they need wheels like luggage it had just enough I guess?
I have 2 Colts from way back. An SP1 {car-15) I got used in 1985 with 1-12 twist barrel and add a 3x20 Colt Scope
    and a 1990 "Clinton Era" Colt 20 H-Bar with a 2x20 Colt Scope added.
I have never added anything else ever other than Mags and Ammo to them.

I just weighed two of my ar’s for argument sake. One is 10.8lbs the other 6.8lbs. Ones a pistol with a Holosun the other a heavy 20inch barrel with a variable power scope with 30mm tube. They each have a purpose and the heavy one I have walked in excess of a mile with on the regular during hunting season usually with goodies and dodads on my back that make my hunt more enjoyable. It’s all about perspective.
