Good link - got all the goodies out the box. I'll have to wait til after the panic and see what they are going for and how much the add ons are.
But after all the good input here and a little research, the 1301 is a bit ahead of the others right now.

The parts have stayed the same. There isn't much panic buying going on for Beretta 1301 parts that cost more than the average gun show Chinesium.

Dave_M got to shoot my 1301T mentioned above... I think he might have liked it even more than I do, lol.
I built mine over time, buying parts as they were available, but the LTT version is the easy button... It took me a few months to find everything.
But it's an Awesome weapon that I never plan to sell... Very highly recommended. I have about $1800 in mine which is what my son paid for his stock M4 and I prefer shooting the 1301 by good margin... Over a pound lighter, similar recoil, much better ergonomics.

Finally decided on the 1301 Tactical and found one - $975 total in my safe. Seemed to be within $100 of "normal" so I burned up the credit card! Now have to research a good tube extension and side saddle.

    That's a good price!

Aridus Industries is the way to go for all things 1301, but Nordic Components makes the extension most people use.

Followup: 1301 came in Monday, picked up Tuesday and brought straight to the range. Fired some 2-3/4" 7-1/2 shot and #4 and 3" Dragon's Breath. Impressive functioning SG. Kicked a bit but I got screws in my shoulder and am somewhat sensitive to recoil.
Dissembled and cleaned. Pretty impressed overall.
Ordered Nordic tube extension kit. Thinking about side saddle but realistically think 8 rounds should suffice. Maybe a light.

They are somewhat impressive at night but you gotta watch shooting into dry grass. Overpriced novelty but kinda cool. Kick like a mule.

LA Camper and SouthernUnderGod's 1100 stories are better than mine, but I also have two early 1970's era 1100s. Years ago I used to belong to a skeet club and shot regularly, never had an issue with either. I will say that they receive regular cleaning/lube, however. I also worry about Remington's quality control in recent years so I would not recommend a new 1100 for your purposes . Their current situation makes me a bit sad.

i love the 1301 tactical but when i got rid of mine i did it with the intentions of getting the 1301 comp.... this post is really bringing up some old feelings i had.. i might just have to get my 1301 comp now lol....

i liked that the 1301 comp had 3.5" ejection port and loading gate where as the 1301 tactical has 3" and also liked the fact of removable choke tubes on the comp... even though i had great groups with my 1301 tactical with the flight control buck shot, i just like the option....

and yes before sombody calls johnny law on me i had a wooden plug in the gun, she ate a face full at 35 yards in the swamp think 7 pellets hit her if i remeber correctly ... all i could see was her head and giraffe neck sticking over the palmettos lol, ZERO tracking needed which is nice while where hip boots lol

2 big holes in plate were slugs at 50 yards.. its a thumper for sure
