The reason you have fitment issues is because they made that holster off of a poorly made drone.
That one actually doesn't give me any problems. I've had it for close to a year and have little to no wear showing from it. Nothing bad to say about it. Probably the best $16 I've ever spent on gun products. The reason you have fitment issues is because they made that holster off of a poorly made drone.

Now, I also have not owned a quality kydex holster so I don't have anything to compare it to but it's hard to believe it can get much better as far as serving it's purpose.
Can't say I knew all of that. I understand there has to be differences between cheap vs quality holsters. That holster was likely made in a book press off of a mold drone. They take a real gun, add some blocking, make a negative mold, then cast a positive. It's not very precise.
What Will uses and other quality holster makers use, is a split mold and a vacuum former. So yea, it gets much better lol

I wasn't expecting a whole lot for $16, was half expecting to be disappointed and have to turn around and get a better one. However, 8 months or so later and I can't really talk bad about it. It does what it's supposed to do, there is 0 movement, it's not so tight that it creates excessive wear, clip is still intact, and it's comfortable. If I had to guess a number, I would say I have somewhere between 1k-2k draws from it and there's is virtually no wear on the slide. It has served its purpose and was good enough for me to instantly know I would never go back to leather holsters for IWB.
If you heat it up and shove the gun in, I guarantee you're going to being seeing accelerated wear on the slide.
There are many differences. Whether those differences matter or not is entirely up to you.
Kydex should not wear on the slide even if it's tight. Wear comes from dirt getting between the gun and holster.
X4, I was misinterpreting that first quote. At any rate, I am looking forward to trying one from Will.
