I have owned the 45HD since about 2013. Great can. Mine is stamped Silencerco, but my box has the SWR logo on it. I think it was a little after the merging period when I purchased that can and my WarlockII as it has the swr box as well.

Yeah there was a little window where they branded them with both names like mine, and I was curious how many were out there. Yours must have been right after these. It didn’t take long for silencerco to do away with the name. I also grabbed one of the dual branded 22 cans! Thought it was cool to be able scoop them up in that transition period.

I have the old Octane45 and use it for all pistol calibers and love it. Right now it lives on the AR9 shorty. So much fun to shoot.

I have the 45HD and use it mainly on 9mm. I love it. Great can to have.

Question: Do any of you other guys that shoot it on 9mm order the 9mm endcap or just use the 45 caliber one?

I read a thread about a few guys that had trouble with end cap strikes running 9mm end caps on 45 cans, when shooting 9mm. I don't see why it would be more likely, vs just running a straight 9mm can, but just putting that out there.

Nope I just have the 45 cap and haven't worried about it. Not sure if it makes a difference or not but seems hearing safe with 115gr and stoopid quiet with 147gr subs in 9mm. Also get the grins when shooting the 1911 45 cal 230gr rounds and you can hear the thwack as it hits the target.

I was one of those guys. Ive had 3 9mm endcaps replaced. Got mine from Silencershop when it was a exclusive.

I talked to another guy right after I got my cans and he basically said the same thing. Just use the 45 end cap. His reasoning was that you’ll forget the 9mm is on there and put your can on a 45 and boom! Thanks for the validation!

I need to get a 1911 threaded barrel. I only have two 45 ACP pistols. A Springfield 1911 and the other is an HK 45c. That threaded barrel is crazy expensive. I do have a Ruger PC9 I loaded up some 147 gr 9mm to try with the Octane 45HD.

You will love the sound(or lack thereof) when you shoot the 147gr 9mm. It is almost Hollywood quiet.
