While many were quick to point out the symbol reminds them of *Star Trek,* or an upside-down Pontiac logo, the Space Force argues the delta is a longtime motif in military space. Deltas prominently feature on the Space Force flag and seal, as well as in the service’s organizational structure.
Well, at least I'm not the only one who saw that immediately.

Actually Star Trek stole the symbol from the Air Force. That symbol was first used by the Air Force in 1961. Star Trek debuted in 1967.

There is no air in space. How can the air force handle this? Air is in their name.

I prefer to think it was an inspiration, not outright Biden style plagiarism.

Well there you geaux. Inspiration taken full circle.

I'm glad we have a space force. I just hope their troopers on the starships can deal with the bug menace.

Now why would you say that thereís no air in space.

Look we need some political distractions that donít make you want to pull your lip up over your forehead and inhale, and if Space Force is the best they got Iíll take it. Think of it like half chilled beer after a really lousy few days on steroids.

I remember reading about this back in January https://twitter.com/noonanjo/status/1220826251402862592 And here too https://www.sciencealert.com/the-us-...l-to-star-trek

I guess this is just them tweaking the logo?

This is how it looked in January

    And from the article

I don't care what people say I'm a fan and happy that we're making space great again
