I have a hs503c that has started acting up. I first started to notice the dot flickering on/off when aiming the. I noticed it cuts out or almost not noticeable when I’m in sunlight.

Any thoughts? Also anyone know if there is a warranty or repair or just toss it and start over? I may change the battery (again) and see if I can try and clean the contacts somehow but the battery slot is horizontal slot on the bottom half of the sight so can really look in it very well.

    Anyone else have this issue?

Use a quality battery, such as Duracell, and check it again. If it continues, you should contact Holosun, but be ready to wait forever.

Gotcha. Probably just get something new and use this as a backup. I’ll get a new battery and report back. Thanks!

Dave_m - spot on! I didn’t realize I put an off brand 2032 in it last. Popped in a Duracell and it no longer flickers and goes bright to dim. Also transition from inside / outside works like a champ. Dot is bright and stable.

For another win I just got back from the prairieville Wally mart and could not find 2032 anywhere. I made one last attempt to go by the school section to see if they had any by the calculators. It so happen to also be by the clearance section and what do you know Duracell 2032 marked down to $5 for a 4 pack. Let’s just say I now have a supply of back ups!

    Thanks

    That’s a good deal!

CR2032’s are a fairly common button cell for calculators. I always try to keep a few spares and anything less than $1/ea is a good buy.

.........................................I believe the 2032 batteries are also used in automobile key fob (lock/unlock/alarm) applications. At least that is what ours use... ................................drill sgt.
