Has anyone chopped a barrel and rib? How did you reattach the loose rib end after the cut? The only shotguns or barrels that are not OUT OF STOCK all have long ribbed barrels and I want a short home defense gun.

I had a ribbed barrel cut years ago. It had to be cut where the rib attaches to the barrel. Also had it threaded for choke tubes. I think I own the only Remington 1100 Left Hand with Browning Invector Tubes.

Still a few on eBay but they want too much money for them. I saw 2 used security barrels in the $125 range plus shipping
