I recently saw an item listed for sale here and saw the same item listed, by the same seller, on another forum for significantly less.
    What is the policy?
I was thinking of buying the item listed here until I saw the lower price on another forum. It pissed me off.
    Just seems wrong.

Contact the seller and tell him/her what you think about his/her sale prices.

Nothing new--Wal Mart, Krogers etc. do it all the time--I've seen items by the same seller on this
site and La. Sportsman do the same thing---different user names but I know them personally!!!

I just wanna clarify a couple things if I’m gonna give my opinion, and that’s all I’m gonna offer is an opinion, which is near worthless. Like less than a nickel. Actually like about 2 cents.
As far as ‘policy’, it’s been well established that a seller here on this site can ask anything they want for an item, choose to sell or not to sell to anyone, even up to the point of the meet (should they not feel right about the person) and still remain in good standing with Bayou Shooter. No special rules or contracts or clauses here that supersede average everyday sale of an item to another party etiquette that I’m aware of when reading the Marketplace Rules. So, Judging from your post, looks like the seller is working within the rules here.

You mentioned that you were thinking of buying the item. So you saw the item and saw the price and actually considered buying it. This speaks volumes. Even before the part, until you saw the lower price on another forum and got pissed off.
That could happen with everything you ever purchase from anyone or any retailer on any given day.
I could understand being let down if you purchased an item and then found it cheaper, but simply finding a difference in price wouldn’t **** me off. I reckon if I had comms with said seller and called him out about the difference in price and asked that he sell it to me for the other site price and He couldn’t give me an explanation like he may have intended to drop the price on both sites or simply made a mistake or he told me to kick rocks I might could work myself up to getting pissed off at that point.

Did you ask about the difference in price?
How much was the item and what was the price difference?
I mean are we talking about a $25 difference on a $500 item or a couple bucks on a box of ammo?

I’m truly only looking to clarify. Not trying to judge. But I will say that any rights or privileges a person expects as a buyer, should be respected with a seller. Just flip the script and try not to be pissed. I still think closing access to posting in for sale ads was the best option.
And lastly, contacting the seller is probably key. I’m sure the seller of said item could quickly clarify the policy for you.

You can always offer that as a trade or trade plus cash. It would be no more of an insult than offering some cheap shotgun, Jennings, Hi Point, or Springfield XD.

Why you letting your friend dig through your porn stash? You selling any of that silver?

Well dang it, Dug up a bucket just to check out its condition and contents, Not too happy.
Granted a cousin of mine had ran over this buckets location with a rather large trackhoe.
Looks like some of this needs a major cleaning?
