11 min 22 sec deorbit burn complete. The splashdown location is between 22 and 175 miles offshore Pensacola. They don’t publish the actual point. Wonder if it can be seen from Pensacola when it gets closer?

Interesting that the Navy is not providing any recovery support other than on call backup in case of an emergency. SpaceX owns two recovery vessels - Go Discovery (on-site) and Go Explorer. Gotta admit that it was nice in the old days to see those welcomes on aircraft carriers. Oh well... times change.

I'm at the beach with a live report.
The world is flat and this never happened because I saw nothing except the bottom of my beer glass:cheers:

But we did hear a possible sonic boom or was that my wife cracking the side of my head because I didn't save her any beer?

But seriously we did hear two booms, the second a little softer:bravo: Way to go Elon Musk and NASA.

Now it's going to take a little longer for the crew to get pulled out because of some jackass private boat owners that think they require a closer look!

I'm surprised there wasn't some Coastie's out there patrolling...

Who will be the first weapon manufacturer to use a private spacecraft to forge their barrels during re-entry? Hmmm... mid up some materials and let the friction do it’s thing.

Thumbs up. They are out in the fresh air since launch two months ago.

First splashdown since 1975 and the first ever in the Gulf of Mexico.

I did not see the splash down live but I did see it on the evening news later. Good to see that all went well!
