I told my wife that tonight's meal was as close you could get to being in Evergreen LA without being there.
Pork fricassee, roasted sweet potatoes(I got these from Po Folks in Lobdell yesterday and these were the sweetest sweet potatoes I have ever had.), sweet green peas, fired green tomatoes and homemade rolls.
Wok fried green tomatoes.
Just like mom used to make!
Time to eat!
I even made a pan of brownies for dessert! Although I'm too full to eat any now. Lol......
Brownies came out perfect. Not as dark as the edges appear.
