I am debating on starting a new build. I found a few sites that have CETME C kits and Sarco has a receiver and a barrel. Just looking for advise on how to put it together or if its worth it. anything would be greatly appreciated.

I have not built a cetme, but have done a few hk builds, which are very similar. If you are buying a 100% receiver I can see the build being reasonably easy. You will need a press to install the barrel, and welding equipment, tig preferred but it can be done with a good mig machine. Converting the fcg to semi is easy. Setting bolt gap is easy as well, just need feeler gauges.

I would not suggest this as a first build, but it does require less specialized tools than an ak build, no rivets just welding. Aks can be done on the cheap, I know. Mags are still cheap for the 308 hk so that is a plus.
