Smokey Mountain Gun Works Labor Day Sale.
    500 rounds 115gr. AE $350 plus shipping.
    500 round limit.
    NUTS!
70 cents per round now? Dang. Unless a person lucks up and finds a couple boxes at a retailer like Academy or Cabela’s, anything actually in stock is gonna cost a fortune.

That’s the supply and demand. Nothing at all wrong with it.

These are people that didn’t plan, some are people that were against guns, then the riots start, and now a man gunned down in the street of a major city for wearing a hat.

now they want guns, and there are none, and 2 gun grabbers on the ballot.

they have to pay what it costs

s15 mags going for up to $170, stock Glocks for $1,200, Ammo for $1 a round.

There are other states that have people with higher incomes who will pay more for guns. That is why there are sellers who will look up prices from elsewhere and be surprised when unable to get the same price in Louisiana. We all know that mark mark up for guns are lower in Louisiana due to lower incomes overall.

Just got a few hundred more rounds of HST for less than I was paying last year.

It's tough to believe FMJ has surpassed defensive loads in cost per round.

I like to keep a fair amount of HST or Gold Dot on hand depending on availability.

I signed up for alerts and buy what I can when I can.

All of the match ammo I currently want is high in price or has silly limits like 1 box per order.

Wouldn't surprise me, I see the non-CA G19's going for 800+ on GB right now... if there was one left in a shop somewhere wouldn't surprise me if they were asking 1200 for it, probably the only one left in stock. The good ole days are behind us....

How about 1.60 a round for 300BO subsonic?

When this is all over those who are, asking that will be snubbed.
I know i am noting who is and who is not.
Last time this happened I did not sell but gave away ammo.
The smiles it put on faces of kids and dad's that they had 22lr to shoot surpasses the monetary gain I would have had.
As a kid of 16 i bought a single stage press.
I was, saving up for the rest. One shop owner asked me how was the reloading going. I said I was, saving for a scale and dispenser.
He said hold on and came back with a,old scale and 2 Lyman 55s. And an old guy who was a caster gave me some bullets free without me asking.
He ran home grabbed some and was glad I was still there.
I have met some great guys over the years in This Hobby!
So as I aged I have tried to be the same way.
To take a saying the Dems use

I stock up between crisis so I do not have to by ammo when there is panic buying. This weekend Academy had Remington 9mm ammo for around $12 per box. I did not buy any as my 9mm ammo cans are already full.

    Good Post.

Funny thing is when I look back I now wonder if it made me or the old guy happier.
As back then the old guy was very happy to get me started and know I was set.
It is for almost all of us a hobby. One that should be passed on so let's not ruin it

I keep all my ammunition indoors in a climate controlled environment.

Garage's are easy to drop in a vent from the kitchen,''T'' off the existing run,Insulate that, Insulate the door with the thin foil looking stuff,Put the flexible molding on the outside,You're in business !
Now is really not the time for that project,Trust me!
