In Cali of all places. Perp was advancing on an officer after many commands to drop the bat. He also had been tased. Happened in a walmart. Officer fired one round into perp's chest then he went down. This took place 4/18/20. I saw the original video months ago.

Article today states officer involved has been charged with voluntary manslaughter. Guess in Cali you have to wait til the perp smacks you with the bat to warrant deadly force.

The key element in all of these is the perps fail to obey/comply with multiple commands given by LEOs. If they had just followed the commands, they would be alive today. Just like Alton Sterling in BR, and the list goes on from there.

The media would have you believe white cops drive around looking for unarmed law abiding black men and when they find them they exit their units and execute them in cold blood. I guess there hasn’t been any white people killed by police in the past 3.5 years. I heard a talking head say, *nobody deserves to be shot by a cop*. It was a fox reporter. Her choice of words doesn’t quite line up with reality.

Clearly she is way out of touch with reality. I wonder if she would say the same thing about Gavin Long? Or John Wilkes Booth?

I guess no one is going to complain about only 1 shot fired. To me, that is an indication the officer was truly concerned about the welfare of everyone involved and was reluctant to shoot. I am sure the officer feels terrible about this and now he is charged with a crime for doing a job that no one wants.

‘Man, why did he only fire one shot?’

Agreed. You couldn't get me to live in Cali for nothing. Pelosi, Hollywood, anti gun sentiment, and all those liberal do*ches. The perp was advancing towards the officer with the bat held in a threatening manner, and he was close.

Yeah? So what happens when the perp cracks the cop over the head, then takes his gun and shoots a few people, then maybe takes his unit for a joyride and kills a few more people... what dumbass prosecutor is pursuing charges? That’s where the problem lies. Defending one’s own life is not something that you need permission for.
    What a joke.
Gosh damn I wish Cali had just slid off into the Pacific a couple decades ago.

In the Cali frame of mind, the cop shouldn’t have a gun in the first place (remember, guns are the problem!), so that would eliminate that possibility. Guns are the ultimate symbol of the white patriarchy and tool of oppression and terror. Next, a cop car with a cop engine, cop transmission, cop tires, etc. is so harmful for the environment, such a large carbon footprint, he/she should instead patrol on a bike or an electric scooter. Remember, they have a plan for everything.

All joking aside, troubling times indeed when a person no longer has a right of self-defense. Sad thing is people are fleeing Cali in droves but still supporting the ridiculous policies that ruined that once wonderful state.

The fact that blunt instruments are used to commit crimes more than rifles needs to be pushed by the few non socialist news media people out there . Scare boards and bats are deadly weapons . They said he was stumbling when shot , which he may have been , but it is hard to tell a stumble from a lurch to attack in a split second . That said Trump did say decisions are hard in 1/4 of a second but he had to add some people can't do that , which could have been left out . Maybe if the cop had waited 1 more second the punk would have went down but maybe not .
