    Grew up in the north, moved down to LA a while back and got in to shooting. Now I have more bullets than dollars and my gf thinks im crazy. Feel like ill probably fit right in. I am currently interested in pistol competition as well as hunting and long range .22 rifle shooting. I am not embarrassed to say that my fav gun to shoot is my Ruger Mk4.

    Welcome. I am quite fond of my Ruger Mk IV threaded barrel with red dot attached. I started out some 35 years ago with a Mark II model first.

    Welcome to the forum. Have you shot any competitions? There are a lot of options for around New Orleans. There is a fun high round count steel match happening Saturday in Amite. Great for starters.
