Looking for a couple of recommendations. Cabelas/Bass Pro are always options. I've got a couple of hours to kill in Baton Rouge and I'm looking for ideas from the locals. Timeline is mid day so regular business hours apply.

    Thanks in advance.

Arts and science museum has a theater on the roof that shows space shows & planet stuff. It's kinda kid fun but if you've never been its ok. Its beside the USS Kidd battle ship. They have a casino if you like gambling. I dont know if the Mall of Louisiana is open but if it is shopping. BR has a bar on every corner and dozens of great restaurants.

USS Kidd is always good. It is the only remaining Fletcher Class Destroyer that has been restored to its original WWII configuration. And you can go pretty much throughout the whole ship except maybe for a couple of compartments.

My grandfather was on the Kidd when it got hit by a kamikaze. My family was allowed to go explore the Kidd many years ago before they restored several sections, it was a very humbling experience.
