This season I bought a Honda EU2200i and installed an hour meter. Spent some time doing a proper break-in but never needed it here in Mandeville. Ran it till it was out of gas, changed the oil and I'm ready for next year.

I've had good luck with Champion generators.I have a 3500 and a 2500 inverter.I live by myself and the 2500 will power my bedroom 6000 BTU air cond, lights, and charge laptop, tablet, and cell with no problem. When the power goes out I hibernate to the bed room.I know if you have a family this may not be practical.I use the 3500 to operate the refrigerator and a sump pump as needed.I find boredom is a real problem for me so I have about 125 books stored on my tablet and reading really helps.I like the inverter because it won't damage electronics and is much quieter than a standard generator.I can run it 24 hours on about 2.5 to 3 gal of gas.By the way,if you run a gen anywhere close to your home get a Co2 detector for safety.
