    I am building a long range/hunting rifle and I need a scope.

    I’ve been looking at the
Monstrum G3 6-24x50 and from what I’ve seen it’s pretty good. Especially for the fairly low price tag.

Does anyone here have any experience with Monstrum scopes?

Don't have any first hand experience but a quick search finds Monstrum scopes are made in China. 2 year warranty and mixed reviews on line. Plenty reviews @ amazon (177 reviews).

A review of the exact scope you are interested in. They were not happy with reticle alignment and tracking but had some positive words for it too. Make sure you read the "conclusion" @ the end of review: https://ultimatereloader.com/2019/06/18/tested-monstrum-tactical-6-24x50mm-g3-budget-ffp-scope/

I’ve owned a few and had some problems but they cover them with good customer service. Take that at face value. One was a 3x prism scope that had a cluster of debris inside the tube that would migrate around in the field of view. They sent a replacement. The other was a 4x mini scope with integrated mount that the objective lens retainer ring gave up and the lense was rattling around in the front hood within the first few mags from a 22 magnum semi auto. Again, they sent a replacement.

Not sure what’s left, but Natchez and a few other retailers were dumping all their Nikon scopes at crazy low prices with Nikon pulling out of the firearm optics market. That would be the most bang for the buck in my opinion.

Call Sport Optics in Hammond, LA

They have a massive selection of optics and have employees that actually shoot long range. You can discuss your needs and budget. They will square you away.

You will get a much better answer from them than from the majority of people on this forum.

A good rule of thumb is: Whatever you spent on the firearm, the scope should be at least 1 and half times the cost of the rifle. That way I usually covers three shot with a half dollar in 100 yards.
