    I am wanting to install a fiber optic front sight blade on my Ruger Security Six. Does anyone know if a sight blade for a Ruger Alaskan will fit. I can't find dimensions online, but the pictures I see look similar. I am able to file, shape, drill or whatever would need to be done. Looking at Tru-Glow but any brand will do if it will fit. Prefer a green sight.

    Ruger discontinued making parts for the Security Six ( I assume you know) Not that they offered a fiber optic sight to begin with. You may want to email Ruger and ask if the sight off the Alaskan will work.

    The sights are different, but you may be able to find a competent gunsmith that can fit another sight. It won't be as simple as punching the pin out and swapping them.
