So it sounds like one of the defense attorneys is suggesting that an FBI informant infiltrated the group and may have been the one to suggest kidnapping Governor Whitmer.

"(I)t's become an issue in certain cases where the informant pushes some of the information, and the court and the government and the defense attorneys have to be leery of that," Springstead told reporters. "Because their job is not to assess what the government informant wants them to do, it's to assess the accused's intent and what they actually planned on doing."

Defense lawyers contend that there was no probable cause to arrest and charge the suspects, arguing, among other things, that the suspects had no operational plan to do anything, were engaged in all legal activities — including talking in encrypted group chats and practicing military exercises with lawfully owned guns — and that it was the informants and undercover agents who "pushed" others to do illegal things.

On one hand I think the accused will say anything to free themselves. On the other I was halfway paying attention for the last 4 years of the Russia hoax.

Are any of these goobers a HVT?

But I’m kind of surprised there was ever an informant involved. It just seems like a big investment to infiltrate one of these silly Militia type groups.

Add some fuel to that fire...

Federal Prosecutors Refuse to Hand Over Text Messages, Laptops From FBI Informants in Whitmer Kidnapping Case (thegatewaypundit.com)

    From the article:

According to report BuzzFeed News published last month, the FBI was involved in every aspect of the Whitmer kidnapping case – starting with its inception!

FBI informants/agents actually helped hatch the kidnapping plot which means there would be no conspiracy case without the FBI.

One FBI informant organized all the meetings early on and paid for hotel rooms and food to entice the patsies.

It is illegal for FBI informants to hatch plots and encourage violence.

Defense lawyers are arguing the informants drew people into the conspiracy and that there is potential evidence of entrapment.

As we previously discussed, the FBI – by way of its informants – has been credibly accused of conceiving the idea to attack/kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. New text messages (that were recently filed with the court along with a supplement to defendants’ motion to compel - all available here) show conversations between an FBI Agent and his confidential informant proving that the FBI Agent sought to instigate a plot to kill Governor Whitmer.

    Update here:

Apparently there were more undercover Feds or FBI informants involved here than actual conspirators. With this happening weeks before one of the most contested elections of our lifetime in a swing state, this could be the closest thing to false flag we have ever witnessed?
