ATF quietly working to reclassify certain guns

    https://comms.wiley.law/8/3583/octob...tration(2).asp

Need to contact your U.S. Representative and ask him to push back against ATF's attempts at backdoor legislation contrary to Trump's EO!

In company-specific letters, ATF takes the position that if a submitted firearm is too long or too heavy, it fails to meet the definition of *handgun* under the Gun Control Act, as it is not *designed to be held and fired by the use of a single hand.*
One might argue that modern training techniques, including those espoused by the FBI, dictate that no modern "handgun" should be "held and fired by the use of a single hand" except in very specific, extenuating circumstances, and thus do not meet the antiquated definition. Just because it is possible to hold and fire a 1911, Glock, 92FS or any other pistol with the use of one hand, does not mean that it is "designed" to be, nor that it is advisable to do so, unless firing with two hands is not an option. In fact, if you look at the trigger guard on many modern pistols, they are often flat/concave and/or serrated to facilitate a two-handed grip (though doing so has mostly fallen out of fashion in the tactical world).

Who's the head of the ATF

    Who appointed him?

    The End

Regina Lombardo served as Acting Deputy Director of ATF from March 2018 until she was formally nominated to serve as Acting Director by the Attorney General, William Barr, on April 24, 2019. Lombardo took office on May 1, 2019, succeeding Thomas Brandon, who was retiring.

Doesn't state her party affiliation but she grew up in Cape Coral, FL. I'll have to dig deeper on her.
