Today was an awesome day to be in the woods. My oldest son and I were finally able to make a squirrel hunt this morning. With his work schedule it’s hard to get together to make hunts but we made it happen today. The squirrels were moving early and the .22 was on the mark. I ended up with 5 and he got 3. We got a nice mix of Fox and grey squirrels I saw some big oak trees blown down from the past hurricanes which made me sad. I hate to see the big feeder trees go down. It was a really fun hunt and time spent with your kids is always a blessing.

I can’t wait to take my grandson. He is 17 months old so still way too young, but when’s he’s ready I’ll have him in the woods waiting for the first hint of day light and waiting for the first branch to move.
