I don't see a problem with people voting for candidates that they feel will represent them. That's the beauty of living in the United States of America. You can move to a state where you're surrounded by people who believe the same things you do and you can vote to elect people to fight for your beliefs and ideals. If you don't like it, there are plenty of other states you can freely move to.

Disagree with the person, their beliefs, their ideals, etc. as much as you want. You have a right to freedom of speech and expression. But the people you disagree with also have a right to their freedom of speech.

The problem is when 1 or 2 people chose to move into a happy and content community and start demanding their beliefs be forced onto everyone else living there, because not doing so somehow infringes on their own freedoms and suggesting they move to a like minded area is heresy... it is the endorsement of that school of thought that's destroying our country.

Bingo! One originally from Somalia comes to mind, now a US House representative. A big advocate of the NGD and direct government solutions to correct "wealth inequalities" in the US.

If this person was elected by a majority vote, then how is it 1 or 2 people choosing to demand their beliefs are enforced?
