True gun novice here...but I have decided to purchase a gun for personal protection as I have been receiving treats on my life (domestic situation). I was told a Glock 17 or Glock 19 would be an excellent choice for me because it's easy to maintain and all around solid firearm. Where do yall recommend looking for a decently priced firearm or is anyone selling with some ammo?

    Thanks!

Two good choices but do not just buy a pistol without training. Get someone to teach you how to use your pistol.
Look in the Firearms classified section.

If you need a gun immediately, for the price a Beretta APX (https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting...utm_medium=gun.deals&utm_campaign=Custom+Link) is the best bang for the buck at around $350 + taxes. But, a gun is no good if you don't know how to use it. Have someone teach you the basics first. Be safe out there.

Since you’re in Baton Rouge, I highly suggest you visit FRC Range and get in contact with John Hanchey to explain your situation. They can put you on the right path to acquiring a new firearm purchase and offer instruction to go along with it.

Hmmm, it’s a well known site. Not sure why that is showing a warning.
