    Had a shooter in class today rockin a G48 with these 15-rd Shield Arms mags. The lip of the baseplate sheared off when she tried to pull it from the mag holster. My experience with these has been hit or miss; some are great but some have catastrophic problems. I don’t think I would depend my life on one at this point.

    Would you know when they were made? From what I have read there were the 1st batches and the 2nd. I got mine a few weeks ago and they are the 2nd batch to come out. I've only shot 150 rounds between the two and didn't have any issues.

    For context, the shooter was using S15 magazines with the +5 extension.

    Magazines are consumables and I’ve had aftermarket base plates pop off of Glock factory magazines.

    I have a few hundred rounds through mine with zero issues, then last 2 trips my slide failed to lock back, otherwise still no other issues. I replaced the springs with the plus 10% shield offers.

    I’ll see how the next few trips go, and just as I ordered more planning to use these exclusively in my 43X.
