Hell,Some states up Nawth won't even allow much of a rifle season,Maybe a week at tops.
I just thought it was a little over the top to complain about his product being in such demand that it had become a problem for him. All I heard was whining and excuses. It just makes me wonder about the intended purpose of the vid. Reassure America that ammo is on the way or pretend that the public has somehow hurt Federal or done anything other than support them and make them rich. I think he needs a testosterone shot or something. It’s a good thing for him that he doesn’t work in retail. Ya know, where the customer is supposed to always be right?
I remember Hornady doing a video walk through of their factory and showing how they’d ramped up production to meet the demand and reassuring their customers that relief was on the way. It was all presented on a positive note. Zero mention of the customers being crazy, mean, paranoid, impatient, misled, disgruntled, delusional, spoiled, ungrateful, or otherwise problematic. Is it possible that nobody is calling to complain to Hornady? Or is Hornady’s head honcho simply a real man and not a crybaby.

Allot of people use 30-06 for hunting. Many men have been using the same rifle they have had for decades. And 30-06 is just a little faster than 308 so I’m not sure what you mean by no one wants a deer shot by 30-06. I’ve shot deer with 30-30, 45-70, 30-06, 308, 270, 7mm mag and 300 weather by magnum. The only one with a nasty enough wound that would make you think twice about using it again is the 300mag.
You obviously don't know me. I've been killing deer with a .30-06 since 1969, and the meat tastes just fine (neck and head shots save the tasty heart and liver). When I sold ammo as a side business in south LA and south MS back in the 90's, .30-06 was the one I took the most orders for.

I watched the vid, seemed like a decent amount of good info.
He was trying to quell a few rumors, and he is obviously passionate about accurate info when it comes to the companies he is representing.
He said that 3006 was a popular hunting round, not the most popular. Sounds correct to me.
Thanks for posting the link, his info on the 7 million new shooters buying 100 rds each would certainly indicate why there is a lack of ammo, plus pre and post election hording.

That and the Remington factory is scheduled to gear up and start production Jan.2021
