    Today we remember our fallen servicemen that gave all, who perished either in battle or as a veteran of service to our country, protecting our freedoms and our borders.
    Today we honor the great defenders of this land who committed their lives and often gave their lives for their fellow countrymen, willingly risking all to ensure our safety and quality of life.
    Today we teach our children to remember, honor and teach about what today means so that every generation remembers.
    For ‘Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same’ - Ronald Reagan


    My youngest laid a wreath to remember our POW’s,
    Then laid another to honor a veteran of the Vietnam war. I got to pass on another very important part of our life to my son in hopes that our servicemen and their sacrifice and their families’ sacrifice and the actual cost of our freedom will never be forgotten.

    Thank you to all the men and women of our armed forces and to their families who know and live the risks and the sacrifices. We would not be where we are without you.

    He was very proud to be a part of the wreath ceremony this morning. We’ve attended the past couple years but I don’t think he fully appreciated what it was about until this year. It takes some things a while to take with kids so I just repeat and hope they get it.

    My granddaughters a couple of years ago at Arlington. Their dad is deployed for 6 months overseas.
