I am on the list with the VA. They will start this month with outpatient visits for shots.
My Dad is a 93 year old WW2/Korea Vet and he has not been called yet.

My understanding is if you have seen a Ochsner Doctor in the last 3 years and are 70 or over you will be contacted.
    Limited quantity of vaccines available.

They will release the list of pharmacies that are going to carry the vaccine available to 70+ on Monday. From my understanding, it will all be independent pharmacies in the NOLA/BR area.

    And
Contact will be VIA from the My Chart App.
So if you do not have it get the App.

I am taking my father in law tomorrow morning, he is scheduled for noon.

88 years old, we are headed to the VA.

they said he has to stay for 30 minutes afterwards to watch for side effects.

i don’t like him being a guinea pig, but it’s his call. He thinks once he gets the shot, everything will go back to normal.

Did anyone else get a notice to contact Ochsner for their Covid shot?

Just made the two appointments through MY Ochsner account. Much like making any other appointment. Didn't get a prior notice to do so, but met the current requirements to get them.

My father is 70 and a Navy Veteran. Is the My Chart app the only way to check his availability to receive the vaccine?
I refuse to get it myself. But he wants it because of his age and the fact that he spends so much time with his grandkids. My sister is a nurse and has had her first shot already. No side effects. Yet.

I'm with you, and when did Bill Gates become such an expert on vaccines and communicable diseases?
