I will definitely share my findings, pistol should be here Saturday. I know this pistol chronos in the 300 fps range with .20g BB's. They don't have much energy, but can fly straight for a fair distance if the hop up is adjusted, and working efficiently.

I've been leaning on .22 for my training needs, but that's mostly because I'm already invested in .22 pistols and ammo. If I move to airsoft, I'd need to start investing in new guns and ammo and whatever other junk I'd need.
But if I was starting from scratch, I'd give airsoft a look.

I have access to a private range so shooting isn’t the issue. I already have the Airsoft Glock, but I’ll be completely honest and tell you that I’ve also been looking into a .22lr pistol. If you have the ammunition for it, shooting at a few cents per round is much better than $0.26-0.60/rd. That being said, I can shoot my airsoft Glock in the garage or backyard and no one will pay attention to it. The only inconvenience is setting up some form of a trap to catch the BB’s. I have plans to make a trap that I can attach to my IPSC stands, but I need to make it and test it out.

I know it's a bit of a cliche, but I love my Glock 44. I can run the same rig that I run for my 17 and 19, and it does a pretty good job of approximating the feel of the "real thing."
I was lucky and stocked up heavily on .22 late in 2019. That said, I'm not burning through it like I normally would, 'cause I know it's going to be speedy to replace for a while.

For bullet traps or airsoft BB’s? Because I’m not looking to purchase ground up tires to catch something a hand towel can.
My only hesitation towards the Glock 44 is the low magazine capacity (which isn’t THAT big of an issue) and the lack of RDS options.

I have 2 airsoft pistols I practice with. The 2011 is powered by green gas, and the CZ Shadow is powered by CO2. Both are excellent practice guns and beat dry fire practice in my opinion.
When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
I carry a gun because I'm too old for an ass whoopin', and too young to die!
